Molecules can have two bonded atoms or any number up to thousands combined in plastics and other macromolecules

Crystals are large solids with an extensive structure – lattice - of ions

Recognize the use of models to describe the atomic composition of simple molecules such as hydrogen, H2, methane, CH4 and methanol, CH3OH

 

Recognize the use of models to describe the atomic composition extended structures –example: crystals such as salt, NaCl and large molecules = macromolecules such as diamonds
